1 VISIT THE CAPITAL OF THE BLACK PERIGORD: SARLAT LA CANEDA IN FRANCE
Sarlat- La- Caneda is one of the most famous cities of art and medieval history in France and the first town in Europe for the number of protected buildings per square meter.
It is the capital and they say jewel of the Black Perigord and one of the most beautiful villages (or rather small town) in the Dordogne Valley.
Walking through the city center (a veritable maze of narrow streets) we can easily understand why Sarlat is a point classified as city of art e History.
We can see old palatial mansions, fortified houses, Gothic palaces, churches and buildings of enormous historical value where even the shops are pure charm.
It is worth highlighting the parish church of Santa María, which offers incredible views of the city from its bell tower as it houses a glass elevator through which you can go up and enjoy magnificent panoramic views.

There are 3 different types of markets in Sarlat: the outdoor market (which we will find in the narrow streets in the center of the city), the covered market (which we will find inside the church of Santa Maria) and finally the night market.
