For us, this is the most convenient, easy and perhaps fastest option because the train takes less time; it's recommended, especially if you're traveling with children.

Going independently by train
First you should know that trains in the UK are mostly privately owned and operate differently; you have to Reserve your seat and buy it online in advance to get a better price.Otherwise, right there you either don't get a seat or you get a seat but it costs you more.
The most common way is:
- Find a train that goes to Watford Junction
- From this station, take the official shuttle bus to the studios, which is free and takes exactly 10 minutes to reach the studio entrance.
The total journey usually takes about 1 hour between all connections, but it's also a bit of a hassle because you have to check and organize the schedules carefully as the shuttle buses leave every 30 minutes.

You can also arrive by car and the studios have free parking.
However, driving around London and leaving the city might not be worth it if you're staying in the center.
Alternatively, you can go by taxi or Uber, which will probably cost around 150 euros, which isn't too bad if there are 4-5 of you.
How long does it take to visit the studios?
Much more than you imagine.
We thought we'd be there for about two or three hours, but we ended up spending practically the whole day there.
The recommended approach is to calculate:
- minimum 3.5-4 hours
- Ideal: between 5 and 6 hours if you want to eat relaxed in their restaurant and buy souvenirs at your leisure.

Just arrive and pick up your free play passport
The only great souvenir you'll find for free, and the little ones will love following the clues and finding the stamps to complete the passport.

Honestly, we were expecting something very touristy… but not this touristy. spectacular.
What is most surprising is the absolutely obsessive level of detail in the sets, costumes, and special effects.
And although it initially seemed like an activity designed for children, it ended up becoming one of the best memories of the trip to London for all.
Yes, you may have seen the movies twenty times. But walking through Hogwarts, even for just a few hours, still has something special. magic.
My expectations were much worse, and I assure you that even though I'm not a big Harry Potter fan, I ended up having a great time and it was full of magic. Highly recommended, family.
